Come and enjoy a Saturday morning ‘walk and talk’ around the lovely Fletcher Moss Park. There will be opportunity to talk and get to know others on the walk as well as periods of silent walking around the park with mindfulness, taking in the sights, sounds and smells in the present moment, with awareness of our breathing and our steps. General guidance given at the start so don’t worry if this is new for you. Paths are generally good, but may be muddy if there has been recent rain so bring appropriate footwear.
We will walk through the park, to the river, total walking around 2 miles. Looking forward to meeting you there! Meet at the cafe in the park just before 10.00 am.
It is a chance to connect with nature, with the weather, the trees and animals. To notice the river, the flowers, and leaves. To drop repetitive thoughts about yesterday, or the day ahead, and focus on the here and now. Reconnect to the spaciousness of the present moment, and face the day with freshness and creativity.
£1 donation. Book via www.meetup.com/Mindful-Walking-in-Manchester/ or send me an email via the contact tab on this website.
Meet at the cafe area in the park just along from the main gates on Wilmslow Rd, past the tennis courts.
Transport- the park is well served by buses 42 and 23 from Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport. Buses stop outside the park. East Didsbury train station is 15 mins walk away, Didsbury Village metro station is 15 mins walk too.
